American Curl
The cat with a pixie face. Kittens are born with straight ears, which start to curl back at around 3 to 5 days old, and reach full rosebud position around 16 weeks. The degree of curl in the ear can actually vary greatly, with those showing the best curl being more highly prized and considered show quality by breeders. The Curl has a medium build with a soft haired coat and large well shaped eyes. They may be long or short haired and a wide variety of color or pattern. Most cats stay relatively clean and rarely need a bath, but they do need to be brushed or combed to stimulate blood circulation and promote good health.
A grooming glove or mitten can make this process as simply as daily petting. The Curl sheds very little and require very little grooming. Daily petting will keep your Curl’s coat in fairly good condition.
