Colorpoint Shorthair Cat

A triangular head, wedge shaped eyes and overall oriental appearance immediately suggest that the Colorpoint is a relative to the Siamese, and in fact, they are. The physical appearance and personality of the Colorpoint has changed very little from it's parent breed, with the only obvious distinction being their unique point colors.

Acceptable colors for the Colorpoint Shorthair include: red, cream, seal tortie, chocolate tortie, blue/cream, lilac/cream, red lynx, cream lynx, seal lynx, chocolate lynx, blue lynx, lilac lynx, seal tortie lynx, chocolate tortie lynx, blue/cream lynx and lilac/cream lynx.
Most cats stay relatively clean and rarely need a bath, but they do need to be brushed or combed to stimulate blood circulation and promote good health. A grooming glove or mitten can make this process as simply as daily petting.
