Havana Brown Cat

The Havana Brown is so named for it’s color, a very deep glossy mahogany. The coat is short and lays close to the body, with a slight reddish hint being acceptable in most clubs. The body is medium sized and firm, with the males being slightly larger then the females. The Havana should have large green eyes on a face that isn’t too oriental in appearance but gives just a hint of Siamese.

Only solid colors are currently accepted by most clubs, but the color itself may very according to the organization. Brown, Chocolate and Lilac are most common, but owners should contact their local club if they plan to show their cat. Most cats stay relatively clean and rarely need a bath, but they do need to be brushed or combed to stimulate blood circulation and promote good health. A grooming glove or mitten can make this process as simply as daily petting.
