Ragamuffin Cat
Ragamuffins are large, muscular, heavy cats that do not reach full maturity until approximately 4 years old. The males of this breed may actually reach an adult weight much larger then the females, but all Ragamuffins have a thick, powerful body. The coat is dense but silky soft with a ruff of longer hair around the neck and face. Every possible color and pattern is allowable, with little emphasis placed on perfection of markings.
The plush, low-maintenance coat resists matting and is easily cared for with a few minutes of brushing or combing twice a week. Provide a bath every few months and trim nails and clean ears periodically. Most cats stay relatively clean and rarely need a bath, but they do need to be brushed or combed to stimulate blood circulation and promote good health. A grooming glove or mitten can make this process as simply as daily petting.
