Russian Blue Cat
Russian Blue cats are always blue, although the shade of blue may change a from cat to cat. Ideally they should be an even shade of bright blue with a silver tipping the hairs giving the coat a shimmering and lustrous appearance. No white markings are allowed on purebred Russians, although kittens may occasionally show a shadowy hint of a tabby pattern which they will shed out of before they reach maturity.
They’ve been referred to as the Doberman of the cat world, with elegant clean lines and a very intelligent penetrative gaze. They have an athletic build, not so much heavy, but more lean and muscular. These cats have the most amazing green eyes! Grooming a Russian Blue is as simple as daily and regular petting, if the coat gets excessively dirty they can be bathed in mild cat shampoo and toweled dry. Russians may appreciate a grooming mitten if the strokes are gentle and not harsh.
